The Urals Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian
Non-Destructive Testing and Engineering Diagnostics Society, the
Goverment of the Sverdlovsk district, the
National Testing and Welding Association, the Institute of Engineering
Science (RAS, Urals Branch), the Institute of Physics of Metals (RAS,
Urals Branch), the Urals State Technical University (USTU – UPI)
are to hold the 17th Russian-International
Scientific-Technological Conference on Non-Destructive Testing and
Diagnostics, together with an exhibition
on
NDT URAL
of equipment for
non-destructive testing, engineering and antiterrorist diagnostics, in Ekaterinburg on September 5 to 11, 2005.
The
exhibition is organized by the Primexpo company (partner of the ITE
Group Plc exhibition company, U.K.).
The Conference and the
Exhibition are aimed at presenting the latest achievements and
discussing current problems in the field of non-destructive testing
and engineering diagnostics.
The
Conference is devoted to the 100th anniversary of
Mikhail N. Mikheyev, Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of
Sciences, an outstanding scholar in the field of physical methods for
non-destructive testing, one of the founders of Academy science in the
Urals, who headed the Institute of Physics of Metals, (RAS, Urals
Branch) for more than fifty years.
